First, she was either good as a bookkeeper or the companies were sloppy about looking after where their money went. Second, since money does not grow on trees but for almost three years these companies went along without missing a nickel it's quite ridiculous the lady did not win anything with this much sum. She just kept loosing.

well i see this possible if company has big revenues, it's not that hard to divert 1 million when one has 100 million in revenue. lots of accounts to be paid, lots of partners to deal with etc. especially if accountant has a good reputation usually his/her actions are only being looked at once a ear when doing audit. even then not everything can be spotted- think enron...
High revenue generating companies are not using just one bookkeeper they r using a room of them so this would have never happen' since they get supervised regularly. These companies wasn't some big cashcows so I still don't understand how they don't realize what is happening.

I think she was very lucky to get only 3 years 8 months.....because the sentence is under 4 years she can get parole and early release in just over a year yet she has ruined plenty of her employees lives and the people who lost their jobs.
