hacker en pokerstars?  0
Hello, a few days ago was running on social networks an alleged promotion in the largest poker room in the world (pokerstars) where they offered money for following a link and share with friends, now it will be true that those who followed those links were contaminated with A virus that picks up the cards from the table and sends the information to a hacker?

Are you a ten year old that you click on every link where somebody claims that money is waiting for you at the other end?
BTW hackers dont give a damn about which cards you are holding on your 0.02/0.05 cents cash tables, they are only after credit card information or anything of value which can be used for identity theft...

If you think you have a virus scan your system and you will find out if they got you but in the future friend don't click those links that you are not aware of hope your situation gets resolved soon Smile

I think he is referring to a link back in December when mobster kent posted here a link on Poker Stars if nine people click it you will get Dollar 25 for free it was a scam link that administration later locked the thread. I clicked the link and had no problems probably because i have Norton Antivirus installed. Agree with Bowie hackers and colluders look to target higher stakes players and credit card information but I doubt that they can hack through Stars Security.

@vic Norton Antivirus?

How about having not anti virus and format your computer. Maybe don't visit weird sites and click weird links. Always have different password for every site and not forgot don't share it , but that is logical. I surely can't recommend nortan since it is a virus on its own., your computer gets really funky when you use these kind of products. Be careful and format, then you will be alright, GL Thumbs Up

no antivirus will protect one if the information that's hidden inside is worth something a bit more than $2.
now getting back to the OP's post- not smart enough to understand it perfectly, but yeah, as a few mobbits mentioned, you shouldn't be clicking on any link provided just as you shouldn't stick your salami in any hole that comes your way.

computer viruses in all smarter and more discreet ... and anti-virus software do not always help to catch the virus ... I approached the problem peculiar))) - on my computer is not an antivirus but I sometimes check his web and viruses doctor he finds fortunately my ... the most important thing carefully navigate through the links and not to download suspicious files

Well, antivirus programs can only do so much, the rest is common sense. Besides hackers use this exploits to open ports on your firewall too, so it's not like you have only one line of defense here.
Formatting your laptop every time you catch something bad is an advice which people give when they have infinite free time to spare and think that others have that too.
