The unofficial official "FlopoMania" thread!  +2
The unofficial official "FlopoMania" thread!

Today I played a little bit on this new format @ 888, it was a good experience. There is a challenge where you must play 50 hands (can also be folded ones), then you get a ticket or cashbonus. There are two all-in tournaments twice a day, you can win a ticket for that by playing 50 hands, here is a little tip for you guys: you can also buy a ticket for 10 points, this is a really good deal for that all-in tournament.

GL all, I hope you win some and also in the all-in freeroll!

here is a really cringeworthy video about it, hahaha:

I have a very bad period in 888 poker. I have not won anything for over a month. In freeroll games i have not won anything important. I hope 888 poker not start copying the pokerstars because then i will not win anything in future. I have the impression they started to do more bad beats. I hate this. Good Luck

I have to say, i watched the video with their add, and i found it funny Smile
How many times this has happened Smile by folding prefop.
Might be a way to get over it.
But still i think, that it will have a more bingo action into it.

I guess we will hear your thoughts soon enough after playing this one.

Once regulations are in place, it is nearly impossible to overturn them. Just look at the situation in the US. The ban there is still intact, after a whole decade. And there is no sign it will get lifted in the nearer future. Evil

How come I cannot see this game in my browser? Is it not available for Canadian customers?

It is at 8-8-8. In my client in the line above the other poker variants like Holdem and Omaha, right next to SNAP and BLAST. Two other special forms the room has invented (or better copied and renamed)

That's where I would figure it would be, but I don't have that tab. Weird indeed.

I think that it is a good idea to play poker like this format, maybe not all players like this idea but some people like it very much and they will be playing this format, maybe in the future more players get interested too and game become very popular. I think i will install 888 poker

Still unsure what to make out of this thing. Yes, it is new, but it takes away a lot of the skill involved in Hold'em. This is more a luckbox game, as hitting the flop is key here. More like Omaha than Hold'em.

Flopomania.... an interesting concept. It's like starting a football (soccer) match just after half time. You miss much of the action and I agree with others that this format does take away some of the skill and bottle element of poker, but it will be interesting to see how far this format will go....can we expect to see it at wsop for example?

I played this new game flopomania with $ 2.5 and the stake was 5 cents this is the minimum, two times complete challenge I got scratchcard I got two tickets for $3000 all-in flopomania celebration, the second game push or fold flopomania I'm not play yet

yeah interesting point that shokaku is making about this new flopomania concept taking away some/ a lot of the skills, but as often is the case a new set of skills needs to be developed. every game unless it's pure luck based (say roulette) needs it's own skillset, and this flopomania game is no different... a twist on regular holdem for sure.

I haven't tried “Flopomania” on 888poker yet. I personally don't like a situation where there are more than 3 players involved in a hand in a conventional 9 or 10-max Texas Holde'm. So “Flopomania” would be a challenging game for me.

I still don't see them. Maybe because I use Linux?

I see the tournaments but i dont have any tournament tickets as I can't play the cash games to obtain them as I don't see the cash games.

Messed up.

I still have not played this new mode launched by the people of 888 poker. I was giving a look at the tables to see how the game developed and I found the game's dynamics very interesting. I do not have enough bankroll to face these new challenges but when I do, we will surely be trying luck.-
