We don't have a pro to make videos, so it was pretty basic stuff putting it together and we've actually discussed that "song" (soundtrack) from the video before in this forum - besides, it was long enough to fit the entire video  |

It was actually "mastergryne" (Mob user) who introduced me to the song, he had it playing on his website. As mentioned elsewhere, it was the first thing that came to my mind when looking for something long enough 
Maybe we can make some more and better videos in the future, for now we might restrict it to final tables and maybe just cut in them to get the highlights, bust outs, headsup etc.

Unfortunately youtube doesn't seem to offer the "view in high quality"-link when uploading there, and the standard quality is too blurry for this. Luckily vimeo.com offers pretty good quality. |

Admin, to get high quality youtube video, you want to upload 640 x 480 mp4 video. What program do you use? I'm using Sony Vegas Pro, great program for making youtube videos.
Now, if you want to embed the video. Copy and paste the embed code and add &ap=%2526fmt%3D18 at the end of the 2 URLS.

Now, there is actually High definition 1280x720 youtube videos now but you must upload 720p avi video. Check out the quality of this 720p video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zlfKdbWwruY&fmt=22
I'd stick to mp4 though since mp4 is great quality and maller file, therefore faster loading time.
You might just want to stick to vimeo but you will get a lot more views at youtube.

GeneYuss, I did upload in 640x480 or something like that, so that should be okay. And I believe it was at least 25fps also. Only thing that might not have been okay was the sound, it was AAC and I think youtube recommends MP3 for high quality videos. I'm using iMovie '08 so the options are limited.
But vimeo took it without problems

@Admin I think padod means the Party layout they recently got a facelift.
I run the old layout too, there is many details to the new layout which seems confusing to me when having a 12 stat box next to opponents name there is simply too much on the table imo. Ofcourse that means I will have to live without the "bet pot" buttons but thats ok maybe it will make me think a bit more before betting |

I'm having problems with youtube too, I think 480x360 is the best video size to upload.I don't know, I guess I'll upload a few videos and see what works best.

Not that much into video editing yet. Final Cut is also quite expensive. So I think iMovie will be sufficient for now, but we might look into an upgrade if we will do more with with videos in the future, than just showing some poker tables like in this case. |

We're not thinking so much about it yet, except for some poker related videos - maybe some educational videos at some point, but that's easier said than done

And the problem with poker news videos, is that we don't have a reporter... but of course, if Natali Del Conte from CNET TV/Loaded comes along asking if she could do it, we would probably say yes.... (she's a good reporter, but expensive I would imagine).
Hopefully we'll be able to record some stuff from the Action Poker Freeroll including the freeroll and try and put it together in a 10 minute video with the highlights |

unfortunately not, this was removed some time ago. Way to many people thought something along the lines of "now I made a deposit at 1 gift offer, and I received a no deposit bonus for the other 2 sites, let's request the $100 extra". It gave loads of problems and too much extra work for what it was worth

No, we have "real employees", not just friends
Preflopwizard is just a service to our users, it still has a few bugs (like telling you to fold a hand in big blind if it's not raised to you... but we don't have enough ressources to develop it fully at the moment).
I would advise you to WAIT with using onlinepokergift.com, it is currently being updated/changed, and I'm not sure yet if they want to sell it or keep it running. |
