Poker players are looking for help from Obama

Is it legal to play online poker in the US at the moment?

It is not very simple to answer this question right now. Lawyers, politicians and the poker players are all interpreting the law in different ways.

But now a bunch of poker rooms and the poker players of the US have teamed up to get some stragiht answers from the President of the US, Barack Obama.

At the moment they are running a huge campaign in the USA to protect the peoples right to play poker online. In the campaign people are asked to send an email to the Obama administrations so called "Transition Team". So the goal of the campaign is to get as many people as possible to send an email to the Obama administration and in this way force them to deal with the issue at hand.

i would send one as well. i dont think tho that anyone in a deciding position cares about children. seriously. if they would care they would do something about starving children and stuff. kids playing poker is not such an issue. this is all about money if yask me...

I would love to send them an email. I Think that All U.S. players should stand together and get something done. They would have a hard time blowing off Large numbers of people. Not only should us players send emails, but any company (U.S. or NOT) Looking to expand should be sending emails.

My opinion is that the most important thing of this case is that there comes a CLEAR law.

Don't put your hopes to high. With the economic crisis and the situation in the middle east, online poker will not be to high in the agenda of the new president
