Foxwood Poker Classic has just started. Yesterday was the first day of the 17 day long series of tournaments that will be played at Foxwoods Resort and Casino.

The Main Event that is a part of the seventh season of the World Poker Tour is starting at the 3rd of April and before that there are a number of other tournaments to be played.

Amongst the tournaments played here we will find NL Texas Holdem tournaments with a modest buy in of $300 and then we have the more expensive tournaments with a buy in of up to $5000. There are also a number of other types of games played like for example Limit Holdem and Seven Card Stud.

The last day of the series is the 8th of April when six players will remain in the main event which is going to be broadcasted on TV.

Last year Erik Seidel ended up winning the main event and took down the $992.890 first price after beating 345 other players.
