Poker legends Amarillo Slim and Doyle Brunson decided to have a race with their scooters during the dinner break of a WSOP event on Monday.
This scooter race was held in the corridors of the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino after rumors had been flying around all day that a race like this was going to take place.
Amarillo Slim who made his first appearance to the WSOP for a couple of years had been trying out scooters the day before to get an edge in this prop bet.
How Doyle Brunson could ever think that he had a chance against a guy that is known to be the best hustler in the world at anything is really strange, and on top of that you have to consider that Doyle weighs about 100 pounds more than the skinny Amarillo Slim.
After the race was over Amarillo Slim stood as the winner as he managed to drive the small race track in 50 seconds while Doyle did it in 55. Fortunately for Doyle the lost bet only cost him $2000.
Hopefully we will see some more of these crazy prop bets during the 2009 WSOP.
