Antonio "The Magician" Esfandiari is the champion of WPT Five Diamond World Poker Classic after a very thrilling heads-up match against Andrew Robl. This is how the final hand was played out.

Esfandiari raised to 800,000, and Robl quickly moved all in. Esfandiari called straight away with KClubJDiamond. Robl showed QDiamond10Club. Robl needed to win the pot to stay alive.

The flop came ADiamondKDiamond6Diamond - which gave Esfandiari a pair of kings and Robl's a flush draw.

The turn card paired the boat with the 6Club, and Robl needed a diamond or jack to stay alive.

The 5Spade landed on the river and it was all over!

Esfandiari takes home the tournament and the first prize of $870,124. Esfandiari's friends lift him up and he starts to crowd surfing above them. A long-awaited win for the Magician and his fans!

11 outs was not enough to stay alive.

After the flop had a good chance, but from the beginning was in the back.

Had been a long time since his name was even mentioned on a final table let alone winning one so congrats.

Yes! I am so happy for Antonio. He was going through a rough time as a person and his game was off for a few years. As one of my favorites, this is a big win for him. I feel he represents the younger players who want to become professionals very well.

Nice one! I like Antonia Esfandiari, as he plays imaginative yet solid poker, and always comes across as a nice, pleasant person. Phil Helmuth, are you listening? Tongue
