Ruben Visser leads EPT San Remo

Day 1 a & b are now in the books and we're only hours away from Day 2. Team PokerStars Pro Ruben Visser, from Netherlands, leads the field with a 251,500 stack, and in second place is Nicolas Chority, a PokerStars qualifier, with 233,400 chips.

There are many familiar faces in the remaining player-field. However, three players (all of them Team PokerStars Pros) to keep an extra eye on during Day 2 are Viktor Ramadin in 5th place with 190,500, Vanessa Selbst in 13th place with 161,500, and Joe Cada in 23rd place with 135,500 chips.

EPT San Remo information
987 players signed up for the Main Event and have contributed to a €4,786,950 prize pol. This year's winner will get €930,000 and the rights of claiming the crown from Team PokerStars Pro Liv Boeree and a seat in the grand final which takes place in Madrid at the beginning of May.

still early for anything to be decided and with small chip lead like that, anything can happen with many good players still remaining. hope he makes the final table after playin so good early on

Can't wait to see who is getting the big prize on this edition but it's hard the predict now. Just after a hand you can become from chip leader the last. Still i saw couple of times Ruben Visser playing online and tournaments are indeed his A game and speciality so i'm sure he will finish on a good place also considering the stack he has right now. From experience i know usually player that are chip leaders usually don't finish on the first place of the tournament at the final table but there are exceptions. As for the ept itself it seems it draw a lot more attention than usual. I think it also count that many poker top players joined the action, especially Viktor "Isildur1" Blom. Too bad he had that bad beat and it was eliminated. Just as a personal note i would have increased the first place prize from 930.000 to 1.000.000, it sounds a lot better Smile)
