Liv Boeree won WCOOP 2nd Chance ($40,448)

Last Sunday the Team PokerStars Pro Liv Boeree, from UK, took home the World Championship of Online Poker 2nd chance $109 NLHE tournament. Not less than 2,528 players took part in the tournament and for the win Boeree received $40,448. 

"Won it!!! Just took down the #WCOOP 2nd chance $100 tourney for $40,448. I love online poker.", Boeree wrote on her Twitter after the win.

Boeree has been running pretty well in online tournaments at PokerStars this year. In February, for example, she won the Sunday Warm-up and laid hands on $147,780. However, her most notable and biggest win so far in her career was at the 2010 EPT San Remo when she took down the Main Event for amazing €1,2500,000!

You can call me an ignorant for asking this, but isnt this a small first prize for a $109 buy-in? We are talking about a 2,500 players field... 100x2500=$250K. So, first prize would usualy be around $100K, or at least $80k, now $40 looks little...
This doesnt take any merit out of Liv, that sure had to do a lot of good work to get this first prize.

40k divided by 100 is like 400 BI, so its a rather nice takedown, roughly 18% which is around a normal first place for online tourneys

I kinda agree with Fakiry, some of these games the prize pool is split way too much, but then again on some sites not enough, Liv bores me.

payout is different from site to site and even in same site some tournaments have more splitting. but this is a big tournament with 2500 players , if 250 are paid u cant expect first place to take 30%

I love this girl from UK, she looks so nice with her green eyes! And she can play poker and have won a EPT tourney last year and now a WCOOP event.

Congratulations to Liv, i saw her playing on poker tv some time ago and it really knows the game.

Probably one of the few poker girls that actually know the game really good and it's not a simplr image for a poker platform.

And the prize seems okay considering the buy in if you ask me Blink
