Yesterday the 4th day of the WPT Venice Grand Prix Main Event was played. At that time 9 players remained and the chip leader was Simon Ravnsbaek from Denmark. It didn't take long before the day came to an end and a new player was in the lead.
The new chip leader is no one else than Italian poker pro Andrea Dato. His name might be familiar to those who followed the action at the previous WPT Venice. In fact, Dato finished 4th in the main event just 2 months ago, and now he has a great chance to get that title! With almost 1.6 million chips he has about 700,000 more than Simon Ravnsbaek in 2nd place and Rinat Bogdanov in 3rd place.
The winner today will get €229,800 and a seat in the WPT final at Bellagio later on this year. It will be very interesting to see whether or not Andrea Dato has what it takes to win today.
