PokerStars and Full Tilt to present repayment plan this month

Posted on 16 May 2012 by "T".

According to a report from iGaming Post, PokerStars, Full Tilt Poker and the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) have reached an agreement on paying back Full Tilt Poker players and the official repayment plan might be presented already at the end of this month.

Once the announcement has been made and the U.S. Department of Justice has approved it, both Full Tilt Poker and PokerStars should be able to apply for licenses within the U.S., when and if online poker is regulated in the future.

PokerStars to buy Full Tilt Poker?
The rumor that PokerStars will buy Full Tilt Poker has still not been confirmed by neither site, however, there has been a lot of talk on the matter. Some people say that PokerStars would make a great move by buying Full Tilt Poker because they would have almost total control over the poker market. Others think that PokerStars don't need Full Tilt Poker since many of their non-US players already are playing with them today. Besides that, many think that Full Tilt Poker's bad reputation (after Black Friday) would be too hard to wash off.

It would really be a great news if POkerstars will buy full tilt poker and give the money back to all players that had real money on their accounts.

On the other hand a even better news would be if US players will be allowed once again to play on Pokerstars and ftp(if it will open) Smile

Essentially PS is on a poker global domination thing.

It'll be great if the players actually get their money.

Every other poker site must be sweating this possible takeover though.

PS buying FT is definitely good news for FT player who has money to cash out… But will it be good news for poker in general?? Seem to be just a tremendous strategy before legalization of poker in US. think about it...

PokerStars and FullTilt were maybe partners from the begining? Conspiracy theorists gotta like that concept.
 Greenmohave17/05/2012 20:30:26 GMT
The U.S. DOJ can eat poop so sick of their nosey ass everywhere they think that they can make a capital gain, but will they look in to real problems? Not if it's not profitable to them. That's what ticks me off the most.

 bullettooth106/06/2012 07:19:17 GMT
so the end of the month has passed. where is this info?

ive given up hope on this very sorry situation. looks like we'l be getting daft little rumours every so often then nothing for ages.

even if it does come back it wont be anywhere near as good as it used to be with pokerstars getting their grubby, tight mits on it. (no rakeback, no earning points quickly, ie. happy hours, points for being dealt into the hand etc.)

its just not going to be the same Sad
 AA-Daelt-AA10/06/2012 08:01:44 GMT
i just hope we get some good news for everyone that has some money stuck on full tilt poker. And lets hope we wont have anymore scandal of that type.
 cardwizard011/06/2012 13:30:43 GMT
Have about 2k stuck there. Hope to get my money back soon.

If I read this right...Poker Stars can apply for a licence to allow US players to deposit and play real money games. I don't see anything about Stars paying off Full Tilt players. Stars will be able to pay off their own US player base when all is said and done. As for Stars buying Tilt....rumor only. Personally can't sse it happening.
