On Sunday the 43rd annual World Series of Poker kicked off with Event 1: $500 Casino Employees No-Limit Hold'em (final table is being played right now - 5 players remain - 732 entries in total), and last night Event 2: $1,500 No-Limit Hold'em started as well.

The tournament is on 20-minute break at the moment and 460 players of 2101 have chips left. Among the top players one can find, for example, Team PokerStars Pro Vanessa Selbst (42,800) and Vanessa Rousso (37,000).

However, Brandon Cantu leads the pack with 87,600, and Evan McNiff is not far behind with his 85,000. There are many big names in the remaining field of players. Let's hope that many of them will make it through the day with decent stacks!

Vanessa Selbst and Vanessa Rousso are doing very well in this event, I think we can expect some surprises from them later on. Just hope they handle this and keep till the final table. A woman in the end always gives much more glamour to the game.

good point- women bring much more to poker than some fat belly dude who is talking trash every second word...especially if those women are decent looking. why the hell didn't anyone stake some well known celebrities for these kind of tourneys- like porn stars, actresses, models etc.
