PokerStars Founder Wins UKIPT High Roller

Tags: Isai Scheinberg, pokerstars founder, UKIPT High Roller.
Posted on 07 October 2014 by "T".

Isai Scheinberg, PokerStars' founder and former owner, outlasted a field of 14 other players to claim the £13,850 first prize in the UK & Ireland Poker Tour Isle of Man High Roller (£2,220 buy-in). Scheinberg was extremly anonymous during his 14 years at PokerStars (the company was sold to Amay Gamging for $4.9 billion a few months ago).

Instead of being in the spotlight he preferred to let the cameras and media focus on the players. Let's hope that we will see and hear more about him now after his largest recorded tournament cash!

Congratulations to Isai Scheinberg on winning this but this must be one of the smallest amount of entries i have seen for a tournament but i bet they were all good players so well done again to him

It definitely is a low first place prize I have seen in a high roller event and the buy in seems low for these kind of games.I am sure the £13k will come in handy for him!!
I can't seem to find who else was in the game with him but it would be interesting to see who he beat, the main event seemed to be lacking in the big name stars.

G'day mate

He won against 14 other players.
Well I guess a 13K win is sweet but they did not even have two full tables.
I congratulate him for winning but really it was not such a big deal.
Great money for a small Sit n Go really.
be cool

yea it was more of a two table sit n go. and it's a low prize for a 2200 investment. but then again pocket change for him.

Has anyone seen who he was competing against?I have looked at the UKIPT website and can't seem to be able to find the list of entrants.I know Victoria Coren and De Melo were about but can't seem to find any of the star names.
Was this just an expensive SnG for the pokerstars bigwigs and the boss won or a proper tourney?

I can't find anywhere that says who was in it... There's a group pic of them all together before the tourney I found somewhere... but I don't recognise any of them...
