Poker King Club, the home of some of the world's biggest cash games, was relocated from StarWorld Casino to The Venetian Macau in September last year. Due to refurbishment works being carried out since the re-location, the poker club used a temporary space until the official re-opening last Friday.

The new poker room is non-smoking and offers USB chargers at the tables, adjustable seats, around the clock food and beverage service, table-side dining and multiple television screens.

100 guests from all corners of the world were invited to the Grand Opening of Poker King Club, including Phil Ivey, Johnny Chan and Tom "durrrr" Dwan. The latter, who has been rather anonymous in the last couple of years, showed up 90 minutes late to cut the ribbon to the new poker room. However, he only received a small penalty from Poker King Club manager Windred Yu...

The Gran Opening featured a charity poker tournament to benefit the Caritas Macau group. Johnny Chan ended up winning the tournament after defeating Phil Ivey in heads-up play; the entire prize pool of approximately $37,000 was donated to children's charity Lar de Nossa Senhora da Penha.

There must be some serious money on the tables at the cash games in this casino. The money going into Macao is supposed to be on the down slide but I am sure this place will not be short of customers.

well it looks like dwan and ivey have gambled away all of their amassed fortunes, since they cannot afford an extra dollar or two for a new suit, let a lone a new tuxedo. ah well, life is hard at the tables, under the tables and in between the tables, i understand those poor fellas.

Yeah, I am not saying they need a better fashion sense, but for fcuk sake if they are doing a pre-paid promotional event then have the audacity to not show up in their pyjamas. It's good that at least Johnny Chan is knows what's up. That is why he is the master.
