A big congratulations to Guilherme "VinceVegaMFR" Cheveau, the winner of the most recent Sunday Million on PokerStars! It was the Brazilian pro's second Sunday Million title after topping a field of over 8,000 players in the same tournament in February last year ($161,879).

Here's a brief recap on the tournament...

It took around five hours for a field of 5,619 to reach 810 players and past the money bubble. Then it took another five hours of play until a final table of nine was set.

Seat 1: lemontree90 (Austria) -- 2,497,964
Seat 2: Mortan23 (Faroe Islands) -- 3,183,644
Seat 3: MLS20 (Austria) -- 9,102,764
Seat 4: AlemaoAlves (Brazil) -- 8,822,976
Seat 5: walancius (Lithuania) -- 1,000,336
Seat 6: Guilherme "VinceVegaMFR" Cheveau (Brazil) -- 11,641,107
Seat 7: yaoyuwei (China) -- 4,173,753
Seat 8: Francisco "chicalltreta" Correa (Brazil) -- 9,549,073
Seat 9: collin_lots (Canada) -- 6,218,383

On the very first hand of the final table, with the blinds at 100k/200k with a 20k ante, walancius pushed all in for his final 980k in chips. It was folded to lemontree90 on the button who made the call.
walancius had AClubTHeart and was up against 7Diamond7Spade of lemontree90. The table ran out 4DiamondKClubKDiamond8Heart6Spade and walancius was out in ninth place.

It took about 30 minutes until the next elimination occurred.

The blinds were 125/250k and collin_lots bet 700k from early positions. Guilherme "VinceVegaMFR" Cheveau on the small blind was the only caller. The flop came out 7DiamondTDiamondTHeart. Cheveau check-shoved collin_lots's bet of 1.25 million. collin_lots made the call with 2,1 million left behind.

collin_lots QSpadeQHeart
Cheveau AClubJHeart

collin_lots was still ahead after the KSpade landed on the turn, however, the AHeart fell on the river to give Cheveau the better two pair. collin_lots had been eliminated in eight.

It took almost 20 minutes until another player hit the rail.

yaoyuwei min-raised to 600k from cutoff, Francisco "chicalltreta" Correa shoved for about 6.47 million from the button, yaoyuwei called. Correa had AClubKDiamond and was up against JClubJHeart of yaoyuwei. The flop rolled out QSpade5DiamondJDiamond to give yaoyuwei three of a kind. The turn was the JSpade and yaoyuwei made quads! Correa had no outs and was eliminated once the river TDiamond completed the board.

The remaining six players were led Guilherme "VinceVegaMFR" Cheveau, and it didn't take long before another player had to leave the tournament.

yaoyuwei opened the pot with a 800k bet from cutoff, lemontree90 reraise-shoved for 5.72 million from the button, yaoyuwei snap-called with AHeartASpade. lemontree90 turned over AClubJHeart and was eliminated five cards later - 5Heart9Heart2Heart9Spade9Club.

The remaining players continued playing for some time before discussing a possible deal. yaoyuwei, responsible for the two last knockouts, was the chip leader with about 17.75 million. Guilherme "VinceVegaMFR" Cheveau was his closest opponent with about 14.3 million, MLS20 third with about 13.61 million, Mortan23 fourth with about 6.53 million, and AlemaoAlves last with a bit less than 4 million.

Although both "ICM"-based figures and "chip chop" numbers were proposed, the five players couldn't agree on the payouts. Play resumed.

Mortan23 open-raised all in from under the gun in the very first hand but got no callers. The next hand, Brazilian AlemaoAlves did the same thing from the cutoff seat with an eight-big blind stack. His fellow countryman Guilherme "VinceVegaMFR" Cheveau made the call with 9Spade9Heart. AlemaoAlves showed QClubTClub. The board rolled out 3Diamond2HeartJClub2SpadeASpade and AlemaoAlves was sent packing in fifth place.

Play stopped immediately following AlemaoAlves's departure. It was time for another talk on making a deal. The four remaining players eventually agreed to a deal that left $20,000 for the winner. And it didn't take long before a winner was crowned, Guilherme "VinceVegaMFR" Cheveau. The Brazilian eliminated all three of his final opponents to lay hands on the first-place prize and his second Sunday Million title!

It would be a very impressive result to win once but twice is amazing.Playing for 5 hours just to reach the bubble must be a strain but then to have another 5 hours to reach the final table would make me crazy!!I can see why there was a 4 way deal after that.

Yeah those tournaments last for very long hours but it's worth to as I don't see lots of jobs paying you that amount for just 10 hours of work...

Many congratulations to Guilherme Cheveau on winning this title and the first prize of $153,111. For this guy to win two of these events is quite extraordinary and congrats to him again

Sometimes I wonder why we couldn't get the same type of report - which is full of played hands from the final table - everytime we supposed to celebrate somebodies tournament takedown. It would make more interesting than simply reading about XY won XWZ.
