Ben Affleck Uncertain on what’s in the Cards after Leaving Rehab

Tags: Ben Affleck, rehab.
Posted on Friday, March 24, 2017 by "T".

Ben Affleck is known not only for his acting career, but also as a poker maven. However, after facing a difficult divorce and a rocky career patch, he stated that he has managed to complete the second stint of his alcohol treatment program.

It is not known what rehab facility he entered or how long his rehab period was. Nevertheless, Affleck hinted on his Facebook page: "I have completed treatment for alcohol addiction; something I've dealt with in the past and will continue to confront," he wrote. The actor's first trip was back in 2001 at Dependency Treatment Center in Malibu, California.

Affleck has never really acknowledged gaming or gabling issues, even though the 44-year old has been involved with some gaming-related scandals.

The Hard Rock Casino in Las Vegas has barred the actor from the blackjack tables back in 2014 due to card counting. The issue came as a result of winning a reported $1 million in two visits to the casino area.
Poker is another game Affleck is good at as he won the 2004 California State Poker Championship. He was even named an A-list Hollywood star playing in high-stakes Hollywood home game hosted by Molly Bloom. The poker sessions held had stars like Matt Damon, Leonardo Di Caprio, and Tobey Maguire.

Bloom wrote her experience regarding the illegal gambling sessions and said that Affleck was "attractive and tall with a charm that is comfortable which not all stars have in person."

With his divorce to fellow-celebrity Jennifer Garner in the midst, along with his film ‘Live by Night' which he wrote and directed a flop the cause of his personal turmoil, Affleck has once again decided to visit sobriety.

"I want to live life to the fullest and be the best father I can be," Affleck wrote on Facebook. "I want my kids to know there is no shame in getting help when you need it, and to be a source of strength for anyone out there who needs help but is afraid to take the first step."

well what can i say, poor affleck, winning a million dollaros on blackjack, doing well at poker tables, earning 20 millions or so for any movie... and enjoying his alcohol (addiction? what the hell is this, i for example consume vodka for supper, dinner and even breakfast ... let the river of vodka flow is my life motto).

How many stars from hollywood have we seen already going to rehab? Smile
Fame and money in this sector, drives many into abusing alcohol and substances.
Ay some point many dont get, what problems do these people have, ending up addicted.

Ben is certainly a wonderful person who made himself .... I like him as a good actor and as a good director .... Of course not all the films from him become hits but it does not happen to anyone .... but the fact that he In addition to this well played poker only adds my sympathy to him

I really hope that Ben Affleck can overcome his addiction troubles and get back to making great movies. I doubt that playing cards would be good for his rehab, so i doubt he will be playing anytime soon

I heard that the cost of rehabilitation program is quite high. I guess money is not an issue for Ben Affleck, but prospective patients should expect to pay around $50,000 for a 30-day program. Yeah, $50,000 per month!

when he dont know how to enjoy in money, womens, playing whatever he want!he could not work till end of life and could just spend all of money, drink when he want, but now he must be drunk every day, every hour!

So. Good luck to Mr Afleck. It must be a struggle. However, I have learned something entirely new from this article and that is the word, 'maven', of which mr afleck is described as being. I have never heard of this word before but now I have and I know now what it means. I had never thought of Mr afleck as a maven, but maybe he is!

well if what tony mon7ana is saying to us all is true, and every customer of rehabilitation centre must shell out a cool $50k per month on the expense then i guess this rehab thingy is totally out of my scope, which leaves me with the beautiful present state of things- daily vodka, pot and virtual melons on pornhub.

G'day mates

Well I personally hope things work out for Ben.
I enjoy most of his movies.
It is a same he screwed up his marriage to the hot Jennifer Gardner.

Hope everyone is doing well.

be cool

While they are in a much better position that the rest of the world,
you cant say they dont have problems, or you cant say that money solves
any problems you have. It depends, like it depends on your type and how you can handle
each obstacle you are running to Smile

In these people, almost all problems can be solved using a bank account .... agree that the first-magnitude stars can afford the most insane acts and after that solve all their problems with money and fame ... but I still like Ben

Not sure how this meaningless article is relevant to anybody's interest here but since he is somehow gambling related as a celeb I can take once in a while 2 read about this man. He is Batman anyway.

There are many private rehabilitation facilities for high-profile individuals in the United States. There are also affordable alcohol and drug treatment centers, which cost $2,000 or less a month.

Lol Germinatas, that's Daredevil! His powers aren't nearly as cool as spiderman's. He's more like a bat using echo localisation to fight being blind and he's a lawyer by day.

Netflix made a series recently and it's pretty good. Second season is with the punisher, another DC comics super hero just like Batman or Superman. There are a ton of them I don't even know 25% of the heroes in the DC universe tbh.

its just one more information i dont know what to do with. think it will fit in my "i dont mind, i dont care" folder.

the good thing is, i have the opportunity to say: he sux as batman ! wish he would listen to the community and retreat.

meaningless or not, but this thread has generated lots of mobpoints for various mobbits, which can be used to start their careers like safe cracking guru's, mobdraw pro's and maybe even both... not to mention all the possibilities mobbits can do with the money once they cashout 5000 mobpoints... and all of these opportunities stars with ben affleck.

Ben Affleck had it all. Career, success, family, money - everything. Now he has his rehab schedule. That is all. Sounds pretty close to a degen gambler but instead burning money on poker and cards he just drank his mojo away slowly but surely. His little brother is three years sober now btw.
 Tony_MON7ANA3/27/2017 1:49:47 PM GMT
Didn't Ben Affleck's little brother Casey Affleck win the Golden Globe for Best Actor in a drama for his "Manchester By The Sea" performance in January this year? Casey Affleck and Michelle Williams played their characters very well in the movie. I love Michelle Williams!!!

As an hollywood actor with a lot of money he can play every kind of poker games fur fun every time. That´s great to play the a-game normally, but with some drinks he left the line... But the combination from alcohol and poker is the best way to loose all Blink , but to have fun it was not aproblem
 vaskarch234/1/2017 7:51:26 PM GMT
the last paragraph has made me love him more..

I heard about Ben Affleck's brother very recently ... and right after I found out about him he got an Oscar ... although I often watch movies and know a lot of actors but Casey Affleck appeared out of nowhere (for me) and suddenly such a great success. .. incredibly Shock
