The $300,000 Super High Roller Bowl is underway at ARIA in Las Vegas. 56 players entered the extremely expensive event and 44 players made it through to Day 2 (starts today), with 2015 GPI player of the year Byron Kaverman out in front with 1.2 million in chips or 4 times the starting stack.
Kaverman has a sizeable chip lead since King's Casino owner Leon Tsoukernik is his nearest competitor with 900k and German poker star Fedor Holz, who finished runner up in this event last year for $3.5 million, is in third place with 800k in chips.
"Today went pretty smooth, I got off to a pretty good start," Kaverman said. "I made a full house over full house against Cary (Katz) and just kind of coasted from there."
The remaining players are fighting for a massive $6,000,000 first-place prize, so make sure to check our news section tomorrow for another update!
