partypoker Releases First Phase Lobby & Table Upgrade

Tags: partypoker.
Posted on 08 August 2017 by "T".

partypoker announces enhancements to the look and feel of the lobby and tables after listening to feedback from a large group of players. The new darker colour scheme has been created to improve the player experience, especially for those playing longer sessions. The differences between the previous design and the new partypoker lobby can be seen in the screenshots below:

The notable changes implemented in this phase 1 update are:

· Improved game navigation

· Collapsible filters to allow more space to view game choices

· New darker lobby and table theme

· Updated Sit & Go HERO lobby to differentiate between 3 and 4-handed games

· Removal of the one click lobby as almost all players prefer the traditional view

A phase 2 update will be released in the next quarter and will include a number of additional improvements to the lobby and tables. Among these changes are:

· Ability to view full screen lobby

· Further filter, display, game and tournament information improvements

· Enhanced tournament lobby displays

· Better table look and feel and more customisation options

Managing Director of partypoker Tom Waters said: "We acknowledge that our poker product needed some love. We have been working on this project for a number of months with the support of a large group of players. We have been testing the phase 1 release over the past couple of weeks and the feedback from the players has been extremely encouraging. There are many more enhancements in the pipeline and I am confident that by the end of 2017 our players will be delighted with the improved look and feel and the usability of the software. We know what the bigger issues are and believe that these upgrades will address all of those. Thank you to everyone who has taken the time to feedback and suggested improvements. I hope that the new partypoker player experience is to everyone's liking."

partypoker ambassador Patrick Leonard said: "The upcoming software release is another step in the direction of getting our ‘dream poker room'. We see an improvement to the lobby and to the table as well as lots of small tweaks all around the client. I tested the software with a dozen or so guys and the feedback was all extremely positive. We've given extra feedback about how to further improve the software and from now till the end of the year you should see additional impressive improvements to the overall software."

The new colour and design of the lobby at PartyPoker are nice in my opinion. But we will see how it works after a longer time of playing. Some software updates are good for a good connection and game feeling. Gl at the tables Blink

Welcome to the dark side. Blink

I can see the advantage of the layout changes, but it seems a bit to dark for me. Looks like the Microgaming client has been an inspiration for this new partyclient.

Today launched the client PP and was surprised by the dark design ... I played in the ld tournament but I can not say for sure whether I like it or not .... I'm already used to white design and a bit unusual ... but I'll have to accept

I hope party poker did not spoil the software with this new color. There were poker rooms that broke the software like pokerstars or netbet poker. I do not have the right to play at Party Poker at the moment but in future i would like to see the new color. I'm just curious if they did good or bad

I wonder how smooth this change will be Smile I mean it is party poker after all,
with a great history on bugs.
The screenshots are a big small to take a good close look, but the black theme looks nice.
Must be better on eyes indeed.

This change at party poker is a bit strange but I'm sure I'm getting used to it very quickly Smile The most important thing is to change the software and get better cards Big Smile So far I have not had any success at poker Sad , we will see how it will be Blink

Excellent the new program of party poker, different, modern and very comfortable for the users that we used to frequent this room. It is always good to change the software for a more modern one and in this case I think it had a great acceptance on the part of all the users.

as I see after one day of using new client,I see that is faster when I start him and other things work good!so this is good change!but as I said in other thread,I dont have promotion for wednesday,so this must be because of this change, dont think that now is restriction for my country!

Today I once again played in the new software PP .. and I started to like the new client !!! ... apparently this is a matter of habit .... soon I will already forget about the old client in white and I will not think about it .. .. interesting update

I guess it's just a matter of personal preference. Some people like a black car with a black leather interior. Some people prefer a white car with a tan leather upholstery. You can't go wrong with either choice.
We got no option to choose a light or a dark lobby theme at the moment?

Maybe the only annoyance of this new update of the party poker program is the notoriety and predominance of the black color, because it saturates the view in my case, is only an appreciation only since everything else seems fantastic and very modern.-

My internet connection unexpectedly dropped during play a couple of times. That was super-annoying. I contacted the partypoker technical team and they advised me to delete ‘PL.exe’ file inside the ‘PartyPoker’ folder manually. The software seems to have been running fine since the deletion of the file.

I dont have any problem with software after update and its faster then before!only this thing with promotion is problem and didnt have free card, but this black is much better with me!will see how things will be when I play for longer1

I still believe that by fat the best poker software I have ever seen in my career as a poker player was the good old pokerstars 6 version, it was reliable as hell and you can run it even on the crappiest pc from stone age and even multitable with ease
 Tony_MON7ANA10/08/2017 23:49:49 GMT
I hope partypoker introduces the new sound effects in the near future. The current gaming sounds are really not pleasing to my ears. So I have to manually change and customize the sounds in the registry!

on the other hand it is always nice to see that dudes at headquarters are constantly trying to improve something with their software and this hopefully can lead to end result that is better for the most of the players. not all changes lead to good results but maybe this time it will.
 Tony_MON7ANA13/08/2017 01:17:43 GMT
It will be great if partypoker can add some new player avatars and remove old ones. It will also be greatly appreciated if partypoker can upgrade the background image and virtual player avatars of the “classic theme” poker table. Am I asking too much?

It may be good for players but not for long term. The houses always wins and if they thought the same as well as normal casinos then players will win 4% percents and houses 96% percents. So it was before in normal casinos. In these online i do not know maybe the percentages for win are higher. But I think promotions the Party promotions are good for many players.

Well, we all know partypoker could actually compete with pokerstars if they had better software and more traffic. These past 2 years they have been trying to attract players in with promotions but I think it's not enough. The regulars want wide game selection and a smooth running program. Party needs to do better with their sit N goes too, right now most of their business is MTTs. But I think if they make their software run faster/cleaner with better looks they could easily become the best room around. The stars reward system is a joke now, not worth giving them rake. If only 2-5% of stars players migrate to party it could start a chain reaction. But it doesn't look like stars has lost many players despite canceling rakeback.

If bwin.party really wants to make an impression, they have to reenter the US market. But this would mean, online gambling in the US would finaly been regulated. Don`t see that happening in the nearer future.

I think the new color and design that have made it ah is much better ... since as many say the white if you are in a place with the light off is a little annoying and tiring for the view ... and I hope That with the new updates all this is better Blink Blink Blink
 pajalnick13/08/2017 19:24:53 GMT
With every day of the game on the new client PP I like it more and more .... in the beginning I did not really like the dark color of the lobby (PP was for me an alternative 888poker and I was experiencing some kind of rejection) .... probably a dark color The lobby is still preferable in order for the eyes to keep their eyes steady Cool

I have one more suggestion to make: The implementation of customizable hotkeys. (Default hotkeys are not really practical.)
Hotkeys make it easy to play from your keyboard. For instance, you can use “spacebar” for fold, “C” for check or call, “R” for bet or raise, and “ctrl+Q” for close tables, etc.
