partypoker LIVE has announced this week that they have signed a four-year contract as the primary partner of Russia's first-ever Sochi Casino and Resort, beginning with the inaugural WSOP Circuit Russia set on May 13.
Aside from the $5,000,000 guaranteed WSOP Circuit Russia event, the partnership deal also consists of the Eurasia Poker Tour (EAPT), the Russian Poker Championships and two partypoker LIVE MILLIONS events (Russia and Snowfest).

A blooming relationship
The promising relationship between partypoker and Sochi Casino and Resort goes back to the Russian casino's roots. Sochi Casino opened its doors to the public in January 2017, and it hosted live poker tournaments along with partypoker LIVE Sochi in March 2017. The event was deemed a smashing success, which attracted at least 1,170 players to the newly-built casino and resort.
In August last year, the two put up what's now known as the biggest poker tournament in the history of Russia, the partypoker MILLIONS Russia, which attracted several top pros from all over the globe (including the likes of partypoker LIVE Ambassador Sam Trickett, partypoker sponsored pro Anatoly Filatov and other pros like Andrey Pateychuk, Dmitry Vitkind, Dzmitry Urbanovich, Vitaly Lunkin and Vladimir Troyanovskiy). It was Aleksandr Gofman who won the top prize of the MILLIONS Russia 2017 Main Event for a payout of $1,000,000!

Sochi Casino and partypoker are looking forward to grow that excitement and passion with the debut of the WSOP Circuit in Russia on May 13-29 featuring guarantees of $5,000,000. The $1,000 Main Event on May 25-29 features a $2,000,000 guaranteed prize pool.
Even if the entire schedule has not yet been revealed, partypoker stated the events shall at least include one PLO tournament, at least one high roller and also the prestigious WSOP's signature Colossus event. Also, as usual in partypoker LIVE's style, expect a flurry of online Day 1s and a plethora of satellites to cater to a wide array of bankrolls.
