The 2019 Triton Poker Series in Jeju, South Korea was deemed a smashing success that the participating players have made a decision to create a last minute event to add to the schedule.

Those who already had flights scheduled on time had to cancel and find new hotel accommodations just so they can join in on the action. In the end, there were 23 players who built a prize pool worth HKD 34,780,000 (USD 4,430,604).

On the 2nd day of Event #8: HKD 1 Million (USD 127,000) NLHE Short Deck started with a final table of seven players, and the first one who got busted was actually one of the most successful poker pros in Triton Poker history, Mikita Badziakouski. The Belarusian crusher returned to Jeju after he won back-to-back HKD 2 Million (USD 250,000) Triton Poker Series Main Events both in Montenegro and Jeju last year, but this time the partypoker ambassador was only able to cash out once with a 7th place finish in Event #2: HKD 500,000 (USD 64,000) NLHE Short Deck.

Timofey ‘Trueteller' Kuznetsov is mainly a cash game specialist and does not compete in huge live tournaments too often, therefore this is only his 4th live tournament ITM finish (according to Hendonmob). The 28-year old Russian became a partypoker Team Pro member in 2018 and he's the second in his home country to represent the poker brand (Anatoly Filatov joined in March 2017).

I personally think this is not real tournaments and reality is just multi table sit and go because so little number of players. Of course big money for buyin and because this we see very big prize for winner but risk is also too big i think

T'was a high roller event. Most of them are like this one. Plenty money thrown around, not so much players participate because not many of them could afford it...

Many congratulations to Timofey on winning this event and a very nice first prize. The short deck form of poker is becoming increasingly popular and i wouldn't be surprised if this becomes the number one discipline in poker before long

Buy in of this tournament it was a very big one. At a normal calculation it seems the entrance was 200k dollars. It was better with 5 places paid but if the players were satisfied with 4 it is very good. These people are attracted by these powerful games but here is too much money for the entrance in this tournament. Honest to be even if i had a 5 millions of dollars, i would not buy entry in such a big tournament.

a short deck poker game is quite an interesting game ... now you can play it on PokerStars .... I try to play there but only on conditional chips as I don’t have money on my PokerStars account .... maybe I will try the future play for real money already .... the game is interesting

A "small" tournament again, according to the number of players.
23 participants with only four places getting paid.
I cant understand how they put so much money in, 127k USD for this game,
in order to reach top four, and make a profit out of it.
If you can spare the money... Smile

the truth gives me envy to see that many in the whole world take such amount of money and many we are left with the desire to take something or if someday we could get to win a good boat to be happy or satisfied hahaha Tongue Tongue Tongue
