On June 13 (Thursday), poker legend Michael "The Grinder" Mizrachi was able to snag his 5th ever bracelet after winning Event #27 at the 2019 WSOP.

Mizrachi outlasted a player field of 460 to take home the top prize worth $142,801.
Born in Miami, Florida and currently living in Hollywood, the 38-year-old Mizrachi has now been able to claim his fifth ever golden bracelet at the WSOP. Going by the nickname "The Grinder", Mizrachi is famous in the poker world as the pro who has won the 2010, 2012, and 2018 WSOP $50,000 Players Championship title.
This latest win now makes him gain at least one upper hand against his fraternal brother, Robert Mizrachi, who he competes with in an amicable rivalry match.
Mizrachi also mentioned his lucky bead necklace, an item he believes helped him win the event, "I looked for them the whole World Series. I looked for them and I found them; I wore them last series and did great. I found them again for the stud hi-lo event and I ended up winning it. These are good-luck beads. I can't take these off any more."
Final Table Action
Mizrachi began the final day (June 13, Thursday) with a narrow lead amongst 6 players remaining. To win this event, Mizrachi beat Robert Gray from Henderson, Nevada in a heads-up match.
Mizrachi's already big rail grew even bigger as he closed in on the win in this particular event. The chanting ‘Grinder, Grinder, Grinder!' then resulted to a lively celebration when he finally defeated Gray after Gray managed to survive previous multiple all-ins.
The final hand of the event was between Gray and Mizrachi.
Mizrachi's fifth bracelet achievement in the WSOP is also his 65th lifetime WSOP cash. He is now the first player to win five bracelets this decade, along with seven other players. Three bracelets were in the $50,000 Players Championship events, the fourth one was from a $10,000 buy-in tournament, and this is now his fifth one.
Thanks to this fifth bracelet, he now surpassed his brother, Robert, for the most number of WSOP titles in the family. Michael said, "I've got him beat right now. Who's the older brother now?"
His latest total career WSOP winnings are worth $9,312,658. He now has $17,173,198 in total live earnings, according to The Hendon Mob.
