partypoker LIVE has announced a new concept that will now allow players a new method on how to get in to live tour events.
The latest "experiment" will have partypoker hosting Online Day 1 and Day 2 in a sole flight, online. Meanwhile, the Live Day 1 and Day 2 shall be scheduled at the host venue as always. Every player who manages to survive from either method will be in-the-money already on Day 3 at the live event!
Considering that live poker tournaments normally spans 3 or more days, this means that when non-pro or recreational players participate, they will have no choice but to take time off work. Also, they need to shell out money from their own pockets if they want to join in on major live tourneys. This new idea of having an Online Day 1 and Day 2 flight helps these people lessen their time off work and also reduce their personal expenses, thereby attracting more players to play in partypoker LIVE events.
Those who opt to join via the online way shall have the chance to attend the venue having already secured themselves a minimum cash payout, giving players the chance to play their best whilst taking the least time off work and this also means their personal expenses (travel fare, accommodations, food) are kept at a minimum.
Tom Waters, partypoker Managing Director, said, "This is a great concept and the fact that players will not have to travel to a live event until they are in the money is brilliant. It means more flexibility for players and will save them on travel and expenses. We're trying to make our tournaments more accessible and I really hope this idea is a success, helping those players that find it difficult to take time off work, as well as reducing costs for everyone."
Dusk Till Dawn owner and partypoker LIVE founder Rob Yong strongly believes this innovation will "bring more people into Main Events and allow them to win titles."
This is one of the latest innovations from partypoker and partypoker LIVE following their introduction of the PP LIVE Dollars, a flexible currency used on the partypoker LIVE tour. The PP LIVE Dollars can be used on partypoker LIVE tournaments, online Day 1's for partypoker LIVE tournaments on partypoker.com, and any travel expenses to attend partypoker LIVE events.
Satellites have always been very good for players. This method with time is also an inspired choice. It's normal for a poker room, to simplify things for its clients and that's very good. Party Poker work for this for a few years and things are good here.
A new idea that we see here. It doesnt sound bad. Also we see that, big sites are always thinking of ways to keep the game on top, plus attracting more players to it. A good thing to see, considering that the game took a big hit that friday Lets see of what else they will think of, in the near future
It is good if these marketing ideas are good for the players. I also saw bad ideas in all the poker rooms where i played. I have some ideas that are good but i do not think nobody pays me to show them. Are ideas for MTT or satellites tournaments.
its not easy for players who have regular jobs to play for so many days at some big live tournament,so its nice that they have this kind of option to start later and be also in prize pool!poker sites need to offer something new to players,to attract players to play from their site!
This is a very nice and no doubt profitable move on the part of partypoker, who always seem to be looking at ways of getting more players playing more and getting the chance to qualify for live events that they perhaps wouldn't otherwise be able to do. I have some time over the coming weeks so will see how i can progressive's in this new approach.
