International Game Technology (IGT) has signed a 10-year licensing agreement with Sony Pictures Television, granting the company exclusive rights to the Wheel of Fortune brand across its gaming, lottery, iGaming and iLottery platforms.
The deal also includes non-exclusive rights to distribute Wheel of Fortune content for free-to-play social casinos. The contract will be in effect on January 1, 2025 until December 31, 2034.
IGT's Wheel of Fortune is one of the most successful slot machines of all time. For over 25 years, casino patrons have enjoyed the famous "Wheel of Fortune" chant in almost 300 versions of the famous slot game that swiftly gained notoriety thanks to its life-changing massive jackpots.
Since its inception in 1996, IGT's Wheel of Fortune slots have paid out over $3.5 billion and awarded jackpots of more than a million dollars to 1,100+ lucky players. IGT also supports Wheel of Fortune Powerbucks games, the company's player-choice omnichannel progressive jackpot in Canada, which to this day still continues to deliver exceptional results in both land-based and online casinos.
