Yggdrasil, a leading iGaming producer of slots, has released its 10th Game Engagement Mechanic (GEM) called TopHitTM, designed to offer its players a unique gaming experience.
Games that have the TopHit mechanic will sport an additional horizontal reel on top of the game grid, spinning in tandem.
The feature is activated when a full symbol shows up on its dedicated space in the added top reel, and that symbol influences the result of the spin, potentially awarding bigger wins.
Yggdrasil's first slot to feature this mechanic, Starfire Fortunes TopHitTM, will involve a reel that is situated on top of the playing grid, spinning in tandem. If a high-paying symbol fully appears, it will turn into a Wild as well as turning any matching symbols on the reels into Wilds. If many copies of the same symbol land on the top reel, the Wilds they produce will gain a multiplier of up to 5x.
On the fifth reel, a nudge icon may land, which will push all the partially visible symbols onto the special reel to make them fully visible, further increasing the chances of Wilds landing.
Getting 3 or more free spins symbols will trigger the bonus round, where all features landed on the TopHit reel will stay put, making sure significant chances of multiple Wilds landing on single spins. Also, more spins can be earned by either getting another free spin symbol, or if 6 or more copies of the same symbol land on the TopHit reel during the round.
The title features a Golden Bet, where a guaranteed nudge may occur, plus a Buy Bonus option, where players can go straight to the bonus round, in certain jurisdictions.
Starfire Fortunes TopHit is the latest slot game released by Yggdrasil, which continues to incorporate innovative GEMs with bold themes and great win potential.
