Exclusive Interview: How to Find the Best No-Deposit Offers

No-deposit bonuses are among the most recognizable offers in the online casino world. While industry regulations and player expectations have shifted in recent years, these bonuses continue to be highly sought after. However, due to the financial risks and downsides for operators, they are not as common as they once were.

We spoke with Christoffer Ødegården, one of the industry's most established iGaming experts and the person in charge of the marketing efforts at the popular comparison site Bojoko. We already spoke to Ødegården about slot bonuses last year, but this time, we want to discuss no-deposit offers and how difficult it is to find them.

No-deposit bonuses used to be everywhere. Why are they harder to find now?

You're right-they were once plastered across every casino homepage. These days, though, they're a bit more under the radar and much harder to find.

It really comes down to risk. From a casino's point of view, no-deposit bonuses are one of the riskiest types of promotions they can run. They're giving away opportunities to win real money before you've even made a deposit. That's a big leap of faith on their part.

Back in the day, many more casinos were willing to take that risk and could often afford it. But now, with tighter margins and more regulation in some markets, casinos have become more selective. They still want to attract new players, but also protect themselves from bonus abuse or giving away free money that never turns into a long-term relationship.

That's why you're not seeing no-deposit offers as often, while those promoted often come with tighter terms.

Are no-deposit bonuses still worth it for players today?

Yes, 100%. From a player's perspective, they're still one of the best deals in online gaming. You're getting a real shot at trying out a casino-playing actual games-for free. If you win and meet the terms? You could walk away with withdrawable cash. If not, you haven't lost anything.

Even with slightly stricter rules or wagering requirements, the offer is still completely worth it. You get a feel for the casino, the games, the layout-everything-without putting your own money down. There's no better way to test the waters.

How can players tell a great no-deposit bonus from one that's just hype?

You've got to look at the details. Don't just stop at the "$10 free" headline. Ask: What's the wagering requirement? Is there a max cashout? What games can I actually play with this?

This is also one of the services Bojoko provides. We have a list of active no-deposit bonus offers you can claim from Canadian casinos. Here, players can quickly assess the value and read the key terms and conditions. They can also use our filters to find the best deals quickly.

Some no-deposit bonuses are generous but come with strict rules. Others might look small on the surface, but give you a better shot at cashing out. The good ones find that sweet spot, namely, fair wagering, no shady limits, and access to games you actually want to play.

That's what we highlight at Bojoko. We dig into the fine print, so you don't have to. We also include honest feedback from players who've used the bonuses-that way, you know whether the bonus is worth your time before you sign up.

Do no-deposit bonuses ever lead to real money wins, or are they just a tease?

The reason why so few casinos are willing to offer them should be the first tip-off that these are amazing deals for players. Some offers have almost impossible wagerings and strict rules, but theoretically, every offer can be converted to real money. Seeing which are the easiest is up to you, with a bit of help from comparison sites like Bojoko, of course.

That said, you can walk away with nothing regardless of the terms. That's why we call it gambling. The difference here is that you are not playing with your own money. If you lose, you can walk away. If you win, you've turned nothing into something.

What should players avoid when claiming no-deposit bonuses?

The biggest mistake players make is jumping at the first bonus they see without checking the terms. That's where disappointment usually comes in: maybe the wagering is way too high, the max cashout is too low, or both.

Another thing to watch out for is signing up at an unlicensed or shady casino just because they offer a big no-deposit deal. If the casino has a poor reputation or isn't properly licensed, you're putting yourself at risk.

Stick to trusted brands, and ideally, use a comparison site like Bojoko where you know the offers are vetted. We also flag casinos with fast payouts, good support, and reliable licensing, so you're not walking into a trap just to claim a few free spins.

They are good only if you dont have to wager them 30 or 40 times! On end most of no deposit offers, especially on smaller sites, are stricted to max win of 100 e, to make at least 20 e deposit to make cashout and so on! Read all small terms!

Players are tempted to take advantage of the first bonus they see without reviewing the terms. This is where disappointment often comes in: perhaps the wagering requirement is too high, the maximum withdrawal is too low, or both.

It's simple, if you go to bankrollmob and search you will find enough offers to try some experiences and see how things are. Anyone who is interested will do that. Good luck.
