30 days to xmas  0
In response to a discussion about the forum going downhill I thought I'd come up with a fun idea that will hopefully take off. If the idea is pants like many of my ideas, then it obviously won't happen but lets see what you think.

Starting on the 25 november we start a 30 day countdown to xmas where someone has to come up with an interesting/funny fact to mark the day. The fact has to involve the number from the number of days left. The next day someone has to post all the previous facts in order and add one for themselves, a bit like 12 days of xmas in reverse. The fact could be anything! It could be to do with you, poker or current affairs.

Obviously when you write down all the previous facts you are not allowed to look so scroll down until the page is covered. It will hopefully be funny to see them all get muggled up.

I hope this makes sense and hope you like the idea. If you have any suggestions feel free to post them and I'll start a new thread for the countdown if this one gets too many posts. Or won't if the idea generally isn't liked.

Well I like the idea Big Smile although I am a little confused, but that is a normal day for me Big Smile
To add to this maybe it should be that you vannot 'quote' but have to type out all as well Smile Considering the typo's ,( specially mine Cool ) could be interesting. Thumbs Up

I kinda like the idea but I can't really say that it makes sense to me. Sounds a bit farfetched;. Good luck with it anyway Blink

Ok maybe I didn't explain it very well as I was in a rush to go out at the time.

The idea is that on wednesday someone posts a statement involving the number 30. More than one person can post an example if they like but not too many as then it wouldn't work. Then Thursday someone has to post one of the statements from the day before plus a new statement with the number 29. The next day each person who wishes to take part that day must post one statement from wednesday, one from thursday and one of their own. On Saturday one or more people have to make a post with one '30' from wed, one '29' from thurs, one '28' from friday and one of their own about '27'. etc etc

But importantly you are not allowed to look up or use the quote function.
Each statement doesn't necessarily have to be true and hopefully we will get a weird mixture of facts (especially if dunotra is involved). So we might get

(20) The original 'Batman' film (Jack Nicholson's Joker) is twenty years old
(17) Tom Dwan started online poker at the age of 17
(9) I have a 9 inch penis

But the idea is that by the time we have five days left there will be so many to remember that we end up with things like 'Batman started poker at 9' and 'Tom Dwan has 17 penises'. It's like a cross between the 'I went to the shop and I bought...' game and chinese whispers.

That's the general idea but I'm open to suggestions/criticisms.

ps. by the way I'm not making any claims in the third suggestion about (9) but I'm anticipating some of the "facts" that might be posted by some (no names mentioned)
