Yes I'm still here, I've had no internet access for a few weeks as they moved me to a summer cottage (with heating) in the woods nearby.One of my jobs was to clean the place out - it took me 2 weeks . Apparently I can stay there for the winter as they need someone to keep it heated and occupied. Besides that I mostly do outdoor/gardening work - normally 5 -6 hrs a day , 6 days a week. Sunday being the rest day. I receive absolutely no money whatsoever but I get all meals( a bit hit and miss), laundry and telephone( once a month- my choice - to my parents). As I live about 500m off site I get the fags and beer in on Saturdays and the porn. It's a self contained house in the woods - washing machine, T.V. to play dvd or video only- hence the porn,shower , microwave- proper kitchen. But as it's starting to cost me and work is running out- it might be just a 3 month thing.Town is 30mins by bike and there are some crazy people around here but in the next few weeks I will do a job search or see about paid employment either with the monastery or another place they might know about.
I haven't turned religious and I'm in the middle of the countryside so it's a nice break but I do not belong here. I need to get an income or I'll go back to England for a few months then try somewhere else in
Sweden. It is expensive but property is cheap and most people speak English I've met a few crazy Swedish people, there is a big Criminal Psychiatric place in Sala - it says it all.
I'll let you know if anything turns up but the recession is here also- in a c.50km region round here there were a maximum of 21 jobs advertised and that is all categories of work . I'll e-mail you in a few weeks to let you know the score. I'm okay for a few weeks at a time and tat is how I am living it. Cheerio for now
