Unlucky mate. That's hard luck but it happens. Some idiot always over plays his middle pair and occasionally he lucks out. You played it fine. I'd say something about variance but I'm sure you've heard it all before and it doesn't make a bad beat any easier.

at least it was small stakes... but all in pre flop with pair of 7s says it all about the players there,

just keep playing your normal game and you will win more pots than lose against these types of donks, like awood88 says variance

At least the first hand was pretty much standard for those levels. Just be happy you did not have a full BI, be happy that you made the right thing (although you should have had a full BI), and be happy that you play against people that, in the long run, will lose their money to you.

Well, that's how I handle these kinds of situations. Smile

In this limit the players are more tigth and have less likelihood of losing against weaker hands as in the lower limits.
