As long as they are good posts and not spamming you can earn as many as you want. They just want quality posts and anything that helps to improve the forum is welcome , is the way I understand it.

For a thread started in Off-Topics - 3 points, for any other thread started in other topics - 8 points. For now you can post without limits just make sure that the posts makes sense or they'll get deleted, however, this may change in the near future.

jack & i2g4, That's right. But as mentioned elsewhere, we have been looking into changing it, but decided to keep the system as it is, only with lowered value (8 and 3 points rather than 10 and 5 as before).
But we have lots of things we can do if people start posting only for points: * If it's really terrible - simply reject the mob points cashout, unless the points are earned in a rightful way by referring players
* Limit the amount of posts per day that can receive points
* Increase the amount of characters needed to receive points, to like 500 characters etc (so it really requires some content before points are paid out)
