a made hand and what to do  0
if you have a made hand on the flop but there is a chance of it being beat on the turn or river what would you do try and take down the pot there or hope you stay strong and draw your oponents in i think id have to try take the pot down as i seem to always lose when i slow play

I depend on the pot, if there a lot of players that made a call then I tend to over raise so that they would fold or go all-in. But if there are only 2-3 players then I slow play to create a higher pot.

i play almost all the pots i enter the same, i bet half to two thirds pot on all streets, and maybe throw out the over bet on the river, this way people never know if you are holding the nuts or bluffing, if i start check raising or check calling then betting out on other streets im sure it usually sends up alarm signals.

the other thing is say you flop a straight board is 78J and you hold 9T, the only way you can really hope for a big pot is if someone has some sort of draw, if they hold 23 you bet and they fold, no matter what the turn and river is 23 is never going to catch up with you so they will never pay you off by you slow playing it, lets say they hold a hand like JT tho, so they have a gut shot and top pair, if you bet they are most likely going to call, thus building a bigger pot for you to either take down or win, if you check here the most likely thing that will happen is that he checks in turn, or if he bets and you then raise him he will then fold, cus the check raise shows you most likely have the hand. so bet out strong in most situations, one situation where i check is flopping quads.

say you raise JJ and the flop is JJ9, in this situation people cant justifiably call even if they have something like QQ, check it and hope that someone holding a pocket pair fulls and then over bet the river

Very nice strategy dude. Will surely try this when I get home. It pretty interesting when you always call, in that sense they would have a hard time telling if you're bluffing or not. I'll let you know if it works for me.

yes but by calling all the time your not leaving that chance to bluff really and aloso your putting in chiops all the time when you could save em and use for a nice hand and pot and also people are wiery of players who play less hands they think you must have somet since you havnt played in a while so gives you a chance to bluff

It would really give you an advantage when the times comes to bluff, as you are always betting, they can think that you've really got a high hand instead of checking then bluff.

i think i may have written it wrong, i am not playing every hand, but every hand that i decide to play i play the same. i still believe that you should be picky about your starting hands otherwise you will just be putting in chips too often when you are behind.

of course if i feel im beaten i will not often bluff the river, its more the flop and turn where my strategy stays the same, people will often cal a half to two thirds pot bet on the flop with a flush draw or straight draw, but they dont seem to like to call the same size bet on the turn with only one card to come, but if there is no draws out there and its a king hi i usually will assume that they have it after they call the flop. This only works in hands with 1 - 2 other players,

in more multi way pots i almost never bluff, as it seems someone will always call, i dont even bet out if i have a draw, something i often do heads up, so this strategy is more tailored to tighter games than looser games,
