I think it's great with the smoking ban! I really don't see why non-smokers should be forced to second hand smoke, because the smokers want to smoke
I actually stopped coming in a poker club few years ago, because the first hour or so of play was no-smoking. Then for the rest of the evening, smoking was allowed. It terrible to sit in small rooms where you can hardly see the cards on the table because of smoke, and the smoke annoys the eyes etc. Not to mention the smell in your clothes when you get home

Well i am a smoker and i completely understand what you are saying, but i here in Victoria (Aus) they recently banned all smoking indoors in public places so this is the casino and all the rest clubs bars etc, and i have found that im more focused on playing poker. I also think that its helped with my smoking as i want to quit so im slowly giving up. At home im not allowed to smoke so its not so much of a problem.

I am a smoker and understand that the non smokers dont want to be around it, but I feel that it comes with the territory. It really affects me, how can I keep my mind on the game when all i think about is a cigarette.

I am a non-smoker (i smoke weed sometimes, but no cigs). And i think its ok to restrict smoking, but in some countries it has gone too far. Yes it's un-healthy, but so is fat & sugar... There should be both smoking and non-smoking areas with very good air condition. Then it won't bother non-smokers too much...

I have quit smoking cigarettes for about 6 months now. I really don´t mind being around people who smoke, especially if I´m there to take his or her money, the least I can do is let them be distracted by their bad habbit while I clean up their chips!

ive always thought i lived in democracey but its getting to the stage now where i thikn were being dictated to what we should eat where we can smoke do this dont do that whats this all about what ever happened to the freedom of speech and everything else i think if your a smoker you are being descrinated against.i mean they could have just opened non smoking bars and smoking ars also then if you are a none smoker and enter that building you knew before you enterd and if you not like it theres always the option to leave what you all tihnk

I feel the same way danny. I just started smoking 5 years ago, and before I started I never had a problem with being somewhere that others were smoking.
