I signed up to this site to enjoy some poker, risk-free, until I am comfortable to bet my own money. I have found this site to be excellent with good, quick support when you need it. My only gripe is the $25 free from Victor Chandler. I am phone and ID verified with Bankrollmob and now Victor Chandler have requested to see a copy of my passport before I am able to release the $25. Has anybody else had this problem or is it just me? I only ask because I do not own a passport and I'm annoyed that I wasn't informed it might be needed.

Yep befor getting it is quite strange. But as shokaku says nearly all sites will ask for ID so may aswell just have it saved on the comp and submitt when first joining.

I don't understand how it can be economically wise for them to give away free bonuses. I know there is rake money, but how many people will still deposit money after they have lost the initial 25$? Not too many, in my opinion.

Have you tried telling them you don't have a passport and asking if some other kind of ID would be acceptable.. Seems they'd probably accept a drivers licence/bank statement, etc as well..

I've only got a provisional license and I've been told that they can't perform the neccessary checks on it but I thought that they could as they accept full licences (aren't the details for both held by the DVLA?). My only options are to spend £90 on a passport or spend £90 on a national ID card. Hmm...
