Well, I am nominated, and I am genuinly happy about that, since that means someone actually finds my posts worth reading. That is quite enough for me, and I have no intention (or hope) of winning this. So I'm not going to explain why you should vote for me.
But if you are going to nominate someone, you might think of Scouymeister (I spelled it wrong, but the russian dude), or ILI_002. They both have a portion of humor in their posts, which at least I enjoy.
I know there are a lot of others deserving your nomination, but just to mention a couple.

Sorry dlkiv but I think you're being unfair. None of the people already nominated asked to be as far as I can tell. By telling us to appeal for votes/nominations you're effectively asking us to beg for money.
I was very pleasantly surprised to be nominated. Although I really value this forum I'm the sort of member who doesn't feel it is necessary to apply to every thread. I like to think that I only reply if I can add something and won't reply if my view is exactly the same as the last six people. But sometimes I think this means that people don't tend to think of me that often, which is fine. I still love being part of this forum.
But I feel uncomfortable justifying why I'm a better member than the other regs. I have my opinion what makes a good member but I don't know if I share that view.
I agree that people should think about what really makes a good member before they vote and perhaps more persuasive reasons need to be given for each member but I think that a 'vote for me' popularity contest is not the right idea.

awood88 in no way is this meant to be offensive and in no way am I for "popularity contests".
I also think that some may have a little fun with this. That is what this is meant for. Just some simple fun. I am kinda looking forward to some silliness.

The contest is just FOR FUN There's no "king of the forum" or anything like that. It's just a poll to see which member "stands out more" to the other members in the forum by voting on that member to be "member of the year". It can be somebody who has been most helpful throughout the year, most funny, the biggest jerk, etc... it depends on what each of you value most in a "member of the year".

thats a very good question but i didnt pick for myself to be init, so you should be asking this to the people who picked me for nominations, maybe i make people laugh i do silly posts at times but do alot of good here give out good information on all topics i make people cry and laugh but i promise you il make you laugh all the way if you pick me cause every1 who votes for me will get $1 of me is that selling myself or what ,or even briving people hahahaha
only joking about the above, people should pick who they want to win without the nominater selling them selfs to get vote by now most mobesters here have already choosen theres, so il leave you with this what will be will be.......

I know it's a bit of fun (and I think it's a great idea) but I would like to see a deserved winner.
Maybe it would be nice to see a "Mob Member of the Year Profile" of each of the nominees somewhere. Perhaps created by the person who nominated them or perhaps someone else. Something like:
Alias: brmmember Member since: Jan 08 Most valued attribute: Good knowledge of poker (or) Brightens up the forum Representative post: post 9 in this thread: link Tag line: BRM FTW (or) vote B1gfoot for more boobs Supporters: me
This may be a nice way for new users to compare the nominees. Sometimes it's hard to associate a name to a superb thread.
