This way, even if they decide to "choose" only one person they still don't know and which is not "big" and "known" in the poker world, they sure will have lots of attention from those who dedicate lots of time to play poker. Its not hard to try, but i cant say if this is as simple as it seems. "Play nice, have your friends voting for you and you will be the next 24H Poker pro!" the only nice thing i see in this promotion is someone unknown will get a pro deal. selecting someone based on rake collected instead of win rate or success is lame and also hate that thing about getting votes on facebook. this way they gonna get some1 whose popularity wont last long. but still gl to ppl participating

This is a nice promotion for the ordinary poker player, so I think other sites must consider this promo, because it will attract a lot of fresh players.
