How is it In less then an hour out of 2,268 people there is only 531 left in the noon $100 are we really playing poker at this point ? Or is it just a Push And Prey. I got knocked out the 3rd hand I had A Q I called a guy that had 6 2 os he caught a 2 on the flop 6 on the river I'm not complaining i lost. Just 1700 People knocked out in less then an hour makes me wonder

what else do u expect in a 100$ freeroll with around 2300 players? most of the people just want to get lucky and win few pennies there rather than playing for 2-3 hours seriously and still not win anything. they are bound to be donkfests

Or just don't play AQ..was it even suited? Did you run up against a made hand(a pair) or Ace king? I play only aces or kings for at least the first hour of a freeroll! Hope this helps, better luck next time!

Hood A A isn't Da nutz ether I have had them busted many times with in the first hour or on the final table It is FTP
Yes, but my point is, you will not be playing very many hands in the first hour if you stick to this strategy.If you aren't in any pots, ther is no risk of losing your stack. Yes, yes 62 off is very ugly.Did you catch a pair with your AQ? Or was the 2 on the flop good?Was it suited? Ace queen is a "trouble" hand. If you read any poker strategy books, any pro will tell you this hand will only get you into trouble. I know AA and KK are not the nuts but their Expected Value is much higher than that of AQ. I'm talking numbers here friend, luck is involved, it will happen, that's why pro's always talk about the swings of the game. The solution to your problem is simple, don't put your chips in the pot with AQ(which is not even a pair), and you will not be in risk of elimination.

Freerolls are just unpredictable! There's generally no real strategy other then patience is a must, play the hands that you can see the flop cheap and allin only if you have the knuts. Everyone here can say they seen it all in a freeroll and skilled players usually post a thread and complain about how they lost due to someone calling 27 or something rediculous and why would one even call with such cards! I was glad to see you took it very well, I mean the 6,2 taking your AQ. Generally someone is condemning the other and they should just know in a freeroll, anything goes so don't ever be surprised. Just like the one your referencing! Flying and will until the last 30 to 50 players! Good Luck to All!

Really the tread was more about 1700 people getting knocked out before first break out of 2200 or so just seems more a Push and Prey/Donk fest as you all have stated than poker, and yes Hood if you read my reply i said i had caught a Q in the flop. And as bad as this may sound i do look at what country has gone all in before i call with A Q. I play for fun it's just more fun if I win And i really don't think A Q is as bad as you make it sound hood it is a freeroll

63ss. welcome to the forum. all i can suggest is that u play in differant tournies freerolls have alot of donks cuz they arnt bothered as it hasnt cost em anything. why dont u join us in the M.M.G (mobster mania game)? smaller field of players and better class of play an also good friendly chat and alot of fun. $1+$0.10 buy-in look at the thread for the tourny
