A couple of days have now passed since 26-year-old David Diaz beat a field of 1,339 players and took home the 2011 WSOP No Limit Hold'em Triple Chance title for $352,208. But this was far from the biggest achievement in his life - as a kid, he was diagnosed with cancer and had small chances of surviving. I am sure none of his oponents was sorry for him for his late health problem, once at the table, only cards rules, and he sure did it well to finish first place!

Whats with the sob story? Dont tell me the poker world is going down the "whoever" idol route, every one has a story to tell, I just dont get it.
But nice win I hope after this strange brag he goes on to say "so I will donate a % of my winnings to research"...yer right....

yeah agree with comments above, everyone has a tough life and story of their own.
but congrats to him for winning the wsop bracelet, hope he does something for his relatives at jersey.
