Get this for stupitity Short stack is all in, 2 other callers and i had kq hearts I called more for pot value than anything. (20 pound table just over 3 pound to call) hit nothing on flop or turn or river we call checked. Now get this short stack all in so nothing to bluff. This one guy goes all in so we fold just to find out i folded winning hand and the small stack gets a quad up from q high what a joke.
So many times I seen people bluff a empty pot or am i missing the point.

Did you all forget you were playing poker...how can you not bet...A.The flop B.the turn....even a pre flop raise is OK , by what you say Im assuming you are in late position and on the river he went AI, his play might seam OTT, probably was (no HH so hard to say) but he improved his odds of winning the hand, odd to make a move like that without A high. You lost this hand by not betting IMO.

big are you mad or am i really missing something here, SHORT STACK IS ALL IN 3 in pot i have k high how can i bet when only call i get beats me and if they fold i win nothing. Now when someone else goes all in I can't call with king high. Yes sure if the short stack is not all in or has same money as me then yes i can make a play not that i would with 4 in. I might try to steal a heads up pot but never with 4 in.

I understand where you're coming from there Toxic, I might have second guessed that one too. But B1gfoot does raise a good few points here. One thing is for sure: Hind sight is 20/20. Don't let it phase you keep playing smart and you'll come out profitable.

I really don't get how it can possibly be good play to put money into a empty pot (the only call i will ever get is one that beats me) and if they all did fold i still lose i can't win. Now with 4 in i cant re raise with k high well i could but its a bit dumb i did in fact struggle to call to see the flop but pot odds told me it could be good k q suited but to bluff on nothing but k high with 3 in and short stack all in to me is total madness

I think your missing the point then. What flop here was you willing to play? Sounds to me you are going to fold unless you hit flush or str8. If they fold to your bet you would have won K high. If you was not will to actually play the hand in position then you should have folded pre-flop and avoid 6-man tables. Forget about what the other guy did and think about what you did or did not do. But as said there is no real way to judge this hand as we are not sat at the table so no image info, players range, chip count etc etc. For me it is fold the hand pre of play the hand post. Position position position....whats it all about...

ok first of all you dont know what small stack holds till showdown so its not an empty pot. similarly your opponents dont know u hold KQh and are just bluffing. though it depends on position too but its worth taking a shot at pot with your hand, but if you get called or raised theres no need to go over the top. even if u get called you have two over cards to get lucky at turn/river and by betting you make the weak players holding marginal hands out of pot and increase your chances of winning.
