I know it keeps getting said that poker will die (or onlinle poker) in my opinion no way poker will die I would rather suffer bad beats and sick calls then play roulette or black jack. Maybe there is some cheating with colusion but i doubt there is with the site management (why would they with a easy 5 percent rake) But if it is true that the site owners are cheating then that would be very serious, but I don't see that as the case on a personal level.
But if you guys have a opion on the matter I would be interested to read it. ToX

I don´t think that the online-poker business will die, there is too much money in there. I guess a lot of governements are keen on getting a hand on that money and participate in this. So I guess it will change in which way ever...
toxicfish have you been playing online poker long??? it just if you have you would of known all of the scandals, which have been going on for the past years cheating at AbsolutePoker where they could see the hole cards (google it) many sites have been shut down for corruption, Ultimate Bet , Full Tilt ,Absolute Poker , pokerstars (up and running now) and many more your in denial to think poker is not going down hill, many people havnt been payed there money and ripped off ask the usa players, and now the rest of the world, players at full tilt now if you have been ripped off your money would you wouldnt play online poker again, cause of the risk to it , many pros players have lost over millions, and your telling us poker wont die, the volume of players has gone down hill from the past years and will never be the same again, so yes online poker will die unless there is a guarantee your money is safe, your on another planet to think theres no cheating been going on in online poker

No your right I have not played online poker very long and I am very surprised about your comments (not saying your wrong) but I am surprised that the site owners would even think about cheating. They have (or seems to me) so much to lose, once word gets out they should not only be finished but should finish up in jail. They make 5 percent every pot (sure some of it comes back in rake or givaway freebe) But the rake pool must be billions (I have not way of working out that figure it is a wild guess) But maybe these guys are so greedy and have no morals they want to cheat us out of our money. If your right then there is indeed no integrity anywhere where there is money.

I wouldnt take that bet that poker wont die. Too much money get involved indeed, but it is too much money that governments dont take theit hands into it. And if they are gonna have a profit by closing every single site out there, believe you me they will do it. Dont to mention of course the black page that dozn said above.

really? i thought, regardless of all the scandals, online poker is growing?
ok FT was a big room but not the first one who has to shutdown its server.. players will move, other businesses are looking to start their online poker business etc.. there may be some changes but nothing big i think.

how can online poker be growing when no usa player can play online poker???? they were about 60% of the industrie poker traffic has gone down hill for the past 3 years check the stats at Online Poker Traffic Report
it wont die completely but the traffic will never be as high as it use to be even if the usa players get there money back and allowed to play on line poker, still there the trust issiue about your money being safe for every player

err ok if you talk about what happened in the past 2 weeks since BF then ok lol.
but you said "the volume of players has gone down hill from the past years and will never be the same again"
that mean to me, like "in the past 5 years the amount of online poker players shrinked" while i was thinking from year to year the online poker community gained more and more players.
anyways.. "poker traffic has gone down hill for the past 3 years check the stats at Online Poker Traffic Report" thats what i was asking never thought..
regarding US players...i think earlier or sooner they will be back again.
i really hope so teddykgb, i hope they come back this has effected every1 i in poker, many players still havnt receved there money, usa player from full tilt, ps have given the money out and now all the other players in the world are going through the same thing as they did, cause of full tilt
