I busted myself 4 months ago playing a £35 freezeout in my local casino after four bet shipping pre AA vs an ~80yo woman who snapped me off with 6-10 spades and flopped a flush. Last night in Manchester, in the sb,with KK after a limp from the btn ( 80~ yo woman ) i 3.2x'd it, she snap reshoves i insta call and she shows q4 of hearts....turn rivered the flush. My tip, probabaly for myself as they seem to be my nemesis...dont play a big pot against an 80 yo. Sigh, whine, cry.

I hope it wasn't a swear word. Because there is only one I can think of that starts with P and ends with Y and if you used that in conjunction with "seems to be the best" and "80yo woman" ... then there is cause for concern, and, dare I say it; censorship !

dont mess with the blue rinse brigade,not the manc ones at least ,or you could always distract her with a worthers every time you pick up a big pair....

In my local poker tournament league there is a little old lady who reminds me of my grandmother, is sometimes a little unsure of what precisely to do when it is her turn, but turns the unlikeliest of hands into monster killers. If you truly want to district someone in the over 60 crowd, start talking to them about their health problems and operations, and then drown out the yakking.

Ha ha, that is unfortunate. It must be the senility setting in, what other explanation is there for that kind of playing. Or perhaps they just have lots of money and just enjoy the plain simple thrill of the gamble.
Either way, thanks for the tip. I think I'm going to go stake my Grandmother (or at very least get her a no deposit bonus, heh).

your mistake was looking at her like an 80year ods woman.shes a poker player and a better one than you by thesounds of it,suuuukkkkedddd in.......no gender or age at table,she could have been playing all her life.lesson learned.sukkkka.
,or you could always distract her with a worthers every time you pick up a big pair....
