well heres a hand i played earlyer today, omaha high and low 25c/50c
one player raise pre flop cause they have a pair of aces , ace 2 for low and also the nut flush spades possible, and the 6 for the back up with the 2 for the low hand. i understand why they did that.........but carnt understand what they did next?? but at the time obviously i didnt know what they had untill the showdown
another player calls the $2.25 raise me big blind call the extra $1.75 into the $7.50 pot was getting good value , as i had apair of jacks 9 queen suit, i had loads of possible winning hands to catch if i hit the flop and win a big pot,
so it ended up 4 way action to the flop, pot size $9.25 i hit the flop with trips jacks its a rainbow flop J 4 9, i bet $8.80 to show am strong also to protect my hand from the low draw and possible straight runner runner draw low hand etc, one player folds and the pre flop raiser calls and the other players folds, yes im thinking got the nuts flop heads up, and am obviously putting the player on pair of aces maybe with a two , cause all of my experience playing this game when a player raiser pre flop, 9 out of 10 times they have this kind of hand, the turn brings a 2 of clubs which is really a scare card for me, cause this bring a low hand draw and a flush possible, but still to protect my hand i have to bet and not give them a free card, so i bet $25.55 hoping they are arnt going for the obviously to beat my high hand, but yet they could be going for the low even thou i put them on aces with a 2 im wanting the board to pair so i have either the full house or quads and they raise all in $30.05 postion is every thing in omaha in my point of veiw its the player who act first. to say they have a hand and is the agressive player, you carnt really bluff in this game playing like this with a good bet can take a player off a winning drawing hand,
but in this case i could take them of there hand even thou i had the nuts so like i said they move all in , i call and the river is a 4 , brilliant full house to me and no low hand just the high takes it all, then i look at there hand and i was right they did have aces with a two, but there werent clubs (pluzzed) not going for the flush draw???? the reason why i was so puzzled is why the heck did they shove on the turn $30.05 basiclly they put $30.05 hoping for a ace on the river and possible a low card for the low hand, but it wont of been the nut low even if they hit, massive gamble drawing to that imo i find this to be very poor play at this level, and the way i think playing this game and players like that is why im crushing these stake, dont get me wrong there are very good omaha h/l players out there at them stake , even better than me i must admit so no matter what stakes your playing at, there are always players playing worst for standard of money there are play at, i should know cause when i moved up to play $5/$10 game, i got my assz kick am not ready for that yet or my bankroll
i hope you have enjoyed my thread, experience ,and advise on omaha h/l, below is the hand good luck at the tables and see you soon for more posts mobsters

Dozn, you were playing out of bankroll in the last hand? , i mean on a game like pot limit omaha with such a high variance you need to have at least 50 buy ins or even more in order to make money.
I finally made my first deposit on pokerstars and from what i can tell you right away is that there are a lot more fishes on pokerstars compared to full tilt poker, plus the skill level of players(even regs) seems to be much lower compared to pokerstars
Frankly i would have expected a lot more good players but still i've only played too little to see the general level of player expertise, and yes pot limit omaha is by far the most profitable game on pokerstars so i'll stick to it

no not really, started on the table with $25 or $30 i have at least 30 buyins for this level, 50 is a bit high even thou the variance is high but i have very good tactics at this game
