Yeah sometimes they try to trick you into signing up (which I'll never understand because nothing leaves as sour a taste in my mouth as misrepresenting your offer). What site were you with, my recommendations are to read the Terms and conditions thoroughly and if your lucky maybe someone else here can vouch for them.

Yep, those $49 are just a bonus. Playthrough it at least 30 times (on slots and other high house edge games) and can be much higher (300x at blackjack) on other games.
