yea i was actually wondering that myself good post geneyuss! did admin give a reason for giving that time limit? or is it due to possible scamming??? so people dont post and edit it out after spamming?

I don't know if the admin gave a reason but its probably partly due to what you said and because you can't take back what you said like a day ago (I guess that makes sense). And people might quote you, than you change your post.

Edit is mostly to edit stuff if you spell wrong, or a link doesn't work etc. Things you usually notice shortly after making the post.
Some threads / posts can get "unlimited edit" assigned if you use the "report" button and ask for it. For instance if you wish to keep an updated post about your poker progress or stuff like that. I think the poker hands nickname thread is enabled for unlimited edit (only for the post owner of course).
