Moneybookers and phone charges  0
To all those using Moneybookers and want at some point to call them.
Be advised that the number they have : +44 870 383 0232 is a non geographic number
and its charges are outrageous.
I thought it was a UK number and when i saw my phone bill went nuts.
Thought it was a mistake by my phone carrier which after an investigation told me
that it is a special charge phone.
I emailed Monebookers about that and they deny they charge extra.
So i googled the whole thing and its a way for some companies to make extra money.

There is a possibility to use an alternative number and call them with normal rates.

Use the following link to get the number and directions : http://www.saynoto0870.com

Thanks for the heads up, Mober, i think the majority of mobsters have moneybookers accounts Smile

So far i only contacted via email and they always answered to my quesions in couple of hours, so far i'm very happy with their services Smile

They asked you to call them or it was your choice??

I was a bit intrigued by this thread and i searched the moneybookers site but i couldn't find the tax you need to pay in order to speak with them via phone...

Still, this sounds to me like a cheap way to make more money, that telephone line should be free actualy.

And yes, could you tell us how much did you paid and how many minute did you talked?

I did two calls in 2 different consecutive days cause for some weird reason i couldnt contact them through email and i paid for 15 mins total 11.5 Euro.We are talking about rip off here.
And the worst thing is that most of the time you are on hold waiting, to verify you, and see whats going on with your case.
The actual talking time is less than 2 mins.

That really sucks indeed, i mean thats a lot for a conversation...

Anyway is good to know, so far they always responsded to my emails in about couple of hours after submiting my request.

Anyways it's good to know in future not to call moneybookers if they practice those phone taxes.

Holy crap, thank goodness I never tried to call in the past. That has to be the absolute lamest, lowest, dirty trick in the book. What a cheesy way to try earn a couple extra bucks off your customers. It's surprising they even still have them, it's almost worth quitting on principle alone.

Sorry to hear you got taken advantage of, I never would've saw it coming either.
