I'm very new to the site..joined on recommendation of a poker friend.
I'm having a bit of difficulty loading a picture,( although I'm sure in time, I will get it) I've tried a bunch of different photos, and I'm sure they are within the size stated...and they just do not seem to want to work. But, most of all, I am wondering where to start reading, on this site, beyond the regular profile information, etc. Is there anything I should know, to make it a bit easier for me to navigate?
Thanks, to anyone willing to help a newbie. Cheers!

i think, not positive. if your trying to download a profile pic they may need to be approved by admin. dont quote me on that as i know when ive done it it took a day or 2 to appear. this site is by far imo the easiest forum around to get used to. just have a look around and play a little bit itll all come to u quick.
Welcome to the forum. The tradition says that you should play to the mob safe and win, as every novice has done before you (except me, of course). Feel free to answer whatever you want here. You will find a lot of people who knows a lot of poker (except me, of course)

by picture i would take u mean avatar never had issue with that, just has to fullfill the requirements "Upload new: Must be .jpg or .gif and max 25 Kb. Will be shown as 50x50 pixels."
regarding reading, there are many poker threads/ blogs in forum u can read, some good/funny discussions going on here usually.
and u can also try mob games - mob safe/ mob draw. better use your beginners luck before it runs out

I think you might be right about downloading the profile pic and having it approved. Now, I was on a page and caught a glimpse of something at the bottom (can't recall which page it was, though) stating something about 20 posts? or something like that? I don't have a problem waiting, but if I need to post something 20 times, that could be awhile, given I'm not overly active normally. I know, in time, everything will become a little clearer. Thanks for the quick responses!

Hi Seashells, happy Canuck Thanksgiving! Right now I am full of turkey, cranberries, mashed potatoes and pumpkin pie, not to mention 3/4 litre of red Aussie wine, and I hope all of you mobsters are feeling as good as I am now! The forum is a little quiet these days but hopefully it picks up in the months ahead. A lot of interesting people here posting good stuff so definitely worth coming by for a regular visit. Crack the safe or the mob draw and get some free poker money. I became a regular about a year ago when I cracked the safe, and have since won $200 in all, and had fun and got some good poker tips along the way.
The forum is only as good as we all make it, so contribute!
Just a few more forum posts and you can put up an avatar almost as attractive as mine
