As the subject goes, do you think it's necessary to have a "paging system" in our longer threads - or do you prefer just having 100+ posts all the way down in a single page?
its a good idea for load time, it mite make people less likely to read all the posts in a thread if they are split up on different pages, but there are plenty of people who dont read all of the posts before commenting anyway

This would be a good idea, much better if implemented. you can just have about 20-30 posts or depending on the length on the replies then have the next page.

On average, there's 11.3 replies in each thread.
We've set a page to be "20 replies". This way most threads will still be on just one page, but the longer ones can keep going till the end of the world.
It's almost done - will probably upload later or tomorrow.

I think that pages would be good addition. Those who dont read posts wont read them anyway. Load time overall would be bigger (1+2+3) but it can be overcome by opening pages in separate tabs so if someone wants to read every postm, while he is reading next page is loading in the background. Im for it totally but i will vote "I dont feel comfortable answering this" only for fun. I dont know who could be uncomfortable answering this question.

Thanks. Hopefully it works as expected. Also another very important thing is changed, now one only recives a single email notification when replies are added to a subscribed thread, until you have visited the thread again. Before, one would receive an email for every reply.
