I think you are spot on in saying that position is the most important thing in poker. I remember Doyle Brunson saying that if he had the button every hand he would never have a losing session in poker.

The most important Thing was a solid bankroll, without this you have no Chance longterm. There are a lot of solid abc poker players and it is not easy to be a winning player and beat the rake and suckouts.

The advices that Ronin gave in his post are great for all that are trying to learn the game.
To me the first and most important rule in poker is bankroll management, and more than that you should only invest in poker what do you afford to lose!

Thank you for your kind words amigo. Would you believe that I have actually been getting negative grief from trying to help players by giving out poker tips. It is amazing to me how some people will take any opportunity to try and tear others down. I even got a negative message left about my Blog on another forum LOL I told that poster they was gutless. What can I say I was in a mood. be cool
