Well poker is a waste of time and money so no real point playing. You will only get scamed by ppl havind card showing software, but if you are lucky they may sell it to you.

online poker is great fun,but like you say it can get boring, sso download some movies of sites that show videos and watch them while playing, makes forlding for so long not seam so long.patience is the key.gl
Okay, first: what limit should you play? The books say different things, i prefer the advices by John Vorhaus, author of the " killer poker" series.
No Limit: have at least 700 big blinds in your roll, meaning: you can play 0.25/0.50 until you drop below 350 dollars.
Limit: at least 350 big bets.
Youre bored? Exactly my problem. In the beginning of a tournament I sometimes sit out until the blinds have increased 2 times. Otherwise Im too often trying to do tricky s**t and bust out because of being bored and then overplaying average holdings.
If you feel ready for the cashgame ( which is the much trickier part of poker of course ), play fullhanded first. If that bores you ( jesus, i played my first full handed cash game at action poker since 2 years, its COMPLETELY different from 3 to 6 handed ), change to 6 players max tables. More action, more skill based.
But if you are new to poker: play sit&gos for the start. You wont win much, you wont lose much, and you can learn there.
And I recommend you all the books from the Killer poker series. Most important Killer poker online 2 and killer poker short handed. Really improved my game.
