On Monday, PokerStars announced that there will be a special edition of the Sunday Million next month to celebrate the weekly Sunday tournament's 9th anniversary. The special edition of the Sunday Million, which will be played on March 8 at 14:30 ET, will have the usual $215 buy-in but have a massive $9,000,000 prize pool!

Posted by bowie1984: I like these satellites (I like all satellites for that matter, but this cheap ones good too IMO). They are always come down to basic ABC poker, nothing fancy, nothing risky, nothing to be worth angry about. If you get it, that is good - if you don't you just had a good afternoon playing thirty toureys. BOL arsenej1!
Definitely abc poker. 4max hyper so everyone is pushing everything. Half way through now closest was 6th place. The rest were between ok and wtf. Gonna try 15 more and call it quits. Dont wanna blow the bank on a gamble by any means.

Posted by StheP: there will be around 40k players playing that sunday million... There were few before, when prize pool was simular, sometimes 5M$, and it is a nice chance to become millionaire Good luck to all mobsters that will play this, and I hope someone will make some good money from this great promotion... I will not play because I dont have 215$ on my bankroll xD but there is satelite for 1$ so maybe Ill try that, but I dont think I will, because chance is slim on that to win ticket....
I would also advice you to play satellites to get the tickes. Buying in is way too expensive. I got my ticket through a school pass event promotion. In the first tournament you needed to get in the top 200 to qualify for the second in which 5 were getting ticket.

For sure a very nice tournament. Will try to sat in through $1 qualifier to the $11 deadline sat. Played one yesterday evening and already won a ticket/entry in the $11 deadline sat, so a good start...

Then I am wishing you good luck in the 11 deadline satellite. If I remember correctly I have also seen a freeroll in which one could win some tickets for this weeks sunday million. I wanted to play it, but unfortunately it was restricted only to players from CIS and Baltics.

Posted by StheP: you have evry week freeroll for sunday million ticket, but if you can finish first from 20k+ players xD
I know what tournament you mean. the weekly one which runs every wednesday and was once called something with "show". You are right this one is ridiculous. Places 2-9 earn a step 2 ticket and only first place is getting the sunday million entry.

Haven't picked it up on this thread but have you noticed that the date of the $9 million game has changed to 15 March? Does anyone know the reason why? It seems a strange move. I can't imagine why or how this would happen. Any ideas?

Yesterday I was playing the intelli poker qualifier freeroll for the sunday million and indeed I qualified for the final tournament. It was not difficult at all, because 200 players got the ticket with only around 1.000 people attending.

It is called "IntelliPoker - Sunday Million $9M GTD - SuperFreebuy Satellite (200 Tickets)" and it is running twice a day at 19 and 1 o clock central european time. You can play it with a normal School Pass ticket.

many players will be waiting and prepare for this tournament a very huge prize so far .i only need to cheer up to those br member that can afford to buy in,still got ticket to 9m guarantee and expecting to reach top 7 if possible ...
this is just in- "Sunday Million" with $9 million prize pool and with a few more players than the regular 360 $0.10 sng will offcially be played without the legendary pochui amongst the field. this leaves the door wide open for everyone else.
pochui didn't comment on his decision, so this has to go down as one of the biggest mysteries of online poker.

That is what I was talking about. The first satellite (school pass superbfreebuy or whatnot every day 4 two hundred ticks) is just a satellite for the main satellite. The main satellite only giving away 7 tickets for that particular Sunday (Million). The best though is still the chocolate sundae (a million of them if I could wish for) - pardon my pun.
Yes mate you got it. That is why I wrote that I qualified for the final reaching the top 200 in this, which by the way will be played today at 19:00 CET. And there you can finally win 7 tickets for the sunday million.

Yesterday I was playing the intelli poker sunday million qualifier final. I was quite lucky to see, that there were only around 1.000 players batteling it out for the seven qualifying ticket. Unfortunately I did not get very far.
