Telephone verification issues  0
One of my sign ups "WayneTheCabD" can not complete the phone verification.

Every attempt comes up with a 'telephone number invalid' error.

He's only using a cell phone, but it is under contract and he's had the number more than 5 years, plus your site says that mobile lines are allowed.

Please help.

I stand for the same problem. If i remeber correctly you have to use your country code and then the number of the cell phone without the leading zero.

Everything is entered correctly, it is the BRM website that is refusing it.
Besides, this is a question for ADMIN, not the general public.

Easy there, sheriff. You post in a public forum....!

The phonenumber your friend has entered has been looked up as "Non-Fixed VOIP" and we don't allow that kind of phonetypes to be used. Last time somebody contacted us and said he couldn't do phone verification with his cellnumber, and also got the "invalid error", we contacted our phone provider. It turns out they were unable to connect to the phone, so we contacted the user to verify the number was correct - days went by, no reply. Then I looked up his account and suddenly he had completed the phone verification but removed a single digit from his phonenumber, so it really looked like the number he was trying to use that was "invalid", didn't even exist..... My point is, if the phonenumber is real and legit and is from a landline or cellphone, then it's VERY rare that problems occur.

I have used cell phone number to do verification. No trouble at all.

Not true, it is a contract cell phone issued by Telus Mobility.
I have copies of his bill to prove it.

------------
My referral has now sent you an email with a copy of the phone bill to show that it is NOT a VOIP.

Nothing we can do about it. If the provider says its VOIP then it's not allowed and it can't get through. BUT, if it is in fact a mobilenumber, then we will of course contact our provider and hopefully they can "fix something" so that it's being looked up as a mobilephone and therefor allowed access.

That would be great if you could.

Doesn't seem fair that my referral should be denied access to many of the bankrolls because your provider's system is locking him out.
